King Mo taking on Rampage Jackson tonight
The last fight that King Mo and Rampage Jackson had wasn’t a great one. I think one might argue it was terrible. Actually, I don’t think anyone would argue against that. Rampage coming into this fight you could say doesn’t look very impressive. This fight will take place in the heavyweight division because I think Rampage wanted to try to set pizza eating records or something. Rampage hasn’t made light heavyweight in three years now and It shows.
Rampage trying to make super heavyweight
In yesterday’s weight ins for the Bellator 175 main event, King Mo came in at 212lbs. That would be the normal weight of a light heavyweight who is training to be in a fight. He has a big frame but he isn’t really tall so the wrestler looked normal. Rampage, on the other hand, looked like he was a few biscuits away from not making heavyweight. I will always love Rampage Jackson for his past fights in Pride and early UFC. Big fan of his style. His crazy slams and knockouts helped shape MMA. But Rampage tipped the scales at 253 yesterday. That is just not a good look.
Here are two pictures one from the height of his career in 2013.
This picture is from the weigh in yesterday
Just what do we have going on here. He looks massive. Let’s get this guy back in the mix in the UFC. I would love to see it. I’m anxious to see how his cardio is but I have a good guess.
For your viewing pleasure, the best slam ever in MMA. I think whenever you have Rampage in an article you must add this.
