Pittsburgh Penguins lose in an alarming fashion to the Capitals 5-2
The Capitals skated circles around the Penguins as this game wasn’t even really close and they force a game seven tomorrow night
The Penguins just got whipped all over the ice in this game. The Capitals are just firing on all cylinders right now like they actually think they are going to win this game. I will refuse to believe that they can win a seven game series against the Penguins but they look good. The Caps are finally taking good shots now instead of peppering Fleury from the red line.
The really scary moment in this game was the Sidney Crosby took a straight on head first slide into the boards. I thought he might be dead after this one. We have seen his mac and cheese brain get destroyed in this series. We might have to start with a new narrative with Crosby. He might actually be a tough hockey player. I don’t know how you can argue against that now after this series. Crosby’s head smashes right into the boards and he played the rest of the game.

The Penguins have now had two chances to knock the Capitals from the playoffs. It is a little concerning with Washington now having all the momentum and teams loosing 3-1 series seems like every year.
“I think it’s frustrating when you’ve got an opportunity like this to win a game and win a series at home and you don’t play the way that you’d like; you can get frustrated,” Penguins Coach Mike Sullivan said. “There was a little of frustration, but I thought we talked about making sure that we grab ahold of ourselves and stay focused and just try to play the game the right way.
The fact is that they only had 18 shots on goal in the whole game, three in the first period. They seem to be tired out there instead of going for the win. They went scoreless in three power-play spots and didn’t even score until four minutes left in the game making it look closer.
Game seven will start tomorrow at 6:30 CT and I am looking for the Penguins to rip the hearts out of the Capitals.
