Brian Urlacher was very surprised by Jake Cutler taking a job in the Booth
Nothing I would want to see more than a possible Brian Urlacher in the booth during a nationally televised NFL game mixing it up with possibly Jim Nance
I feel like Tony is with a pretty good crew. … I’m going to go with Tony on this one just because — not because I have anything against (Cutler’s future play-by-play partner Kevin) Burkhardt — but Jim Nance is the man. I think it’s going to make it really easy for Tony to say the right things and give him some layup questions. And Tony’s a very well-spoken guy anyway.
I was surprised as well. I wasn’t surprised nobody tried to sign him. It just seemed like a pretty quick decision. I guess when the booth calls, you go.
After reading this a thought popped into my head about Brian Urlacher. The move which looked easy to me by Jay Cutler into the booth has to be tearing Urlacher up inside. He 100% wanted to get a job like that calling games in the booth furthering his career around football but he has the personality of a wet paper bag. Brian Urlacher will always be the best Chicago Bear in history but to listen to that man on TV is almost impossible for me and doesn’t seem like anyone else is knocking on his door to give him a job other than his CSN Bears coverage show.
Brian Urlacher was made for that show. Only people in Chicago can see it so the audience is small enough where they can’t make fun of his hair. Seriously I can’t get enough of these hair picks now. I’m going to spend almost all day looking at these.
