My new favorite college football player Becca Longo yes a girl
Alright so I’ve established before and some people don’t know this about me is I’m a big kicker guy. I will always be a big kicker guy. I did it back in the day and I’ll say till the day I die if I wasn’t too busy chasing girls and drinking beers I might have actually had a career in it, but at 18-19 get out of here. I had myself a way to buy beer and too many girlfriends. Now that I’m on the wrong side of 30 that part of my life is def. over unless I join in with all the other washed up guys that play minor league football but I highly doubt that (unless someone is offering?).
Becca Longo has gotten a scholarship to kick for Adams State. This might mark the first woman ever to get a scholarship for playing football. Adams state is a Division II school in Colorado. She has signed her letter of intent to be the Kicker and also play on their basketball team.
AZCentralreported Longo’s coach introduced her at her signing ceremony “as the first girl in the country to sign a college football letter of intent for a program in NCAA Division I or II.” That indicates the LOI is for football, not hoops.
The head coach of Adams State Tim Rosenbach was really impressed by her senior season. Longo actually contacted them first during the season to hopefully peak their interest in recruiting her. After the season was over with Becca Longo connected on 30-33 point after attempts and hit a 30-yard field goal they messaged her back. At that point, she was visited by Josh Blankenship, offensive coordinator for Adams State, and said he fell in love with the player.
Adams State had a 2-8 record last season and was 5-8 in field goal attempts.
Becca really isn’t that bad too. Here she is knocking down a 48 yarder
