NBA Minnesota at San Antonio
Besides the Chicago Bulls growing up my second favorite team by far was the San Antonio Spurs. Shot out to some players that were gritty Danny Ferry , even though he went to Duke and the player Steve Kerr. I’ll always love him cause he was the fill in three shooting white guy who hit the shot to win the Bulls a championship. But the driving force in the NBA when Michael Jordan just couldn’t stand Jerry Reinsdorf anymore, was the twin towers of Sn Antonio. Mr. Fundimental, a young Tim Duncan, and an aging David Robinson, the admiral. I think I liked them half because they were fun to watch and half because the most expensive baseball card I owned at the time was a David Robinson.
This year Minnesota is back to their underachieving ways with a 14-27 record. One more reason why I can’t stand the NBA playoff format is their are only 4 games out for the 8th seed and would make the playoffs. San Antonio this year is tough as always lead by the Danny Green. I know he isn’t Kawhi Leonard but he is one of my favorite North Carolina players ever. Team record this year is 31 – 9. The spread for this game is -11 spurs. They are 23 – 16 ATS playing a pretty bad team so I’m taking the Spurs -11.
