A look at a potential #16 pick from the Chicago Bulls SG Terrance Ferguson
If he falls to the number sixteen pick the Chicago Bulls could be looking for a good athletic shooting guard like Terrance Ferguson to upgrade their team
People that aren’t deep into the game most likely don’t know Terrance Ferguson. Coming out of high school he was ranked in the top 20 players of the 2016 class. Ferguson had won the MVP award at the Nike Hoop Summit. The 6’7″ 190-pound shooting guard had committed to Alabama and also Arizona before skipping college altogether and played overseas last season. In my opinion was a good move giving him professional basketball experience that you just can’t get in college. Last season he played for the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL. The 36ers are in an Australian basketball league.
Terrance Ferguson has won three gold medals with the American FIBA team. While on the team he consistently got better having never lost a game while on the team.
Ferguson made his debut with the Adelaide squad in their season opener last season playing 17 minutes off the bench scoring 10 points on 4-9 shooting. The biggest moment for Terrance during his pro career is getting suspended for an incident where he struck Mark Worthington during a scuffle after a free throw. He received a one-game suspension after a guilty plea.

While playing for the Adelaide 36ers, Terrance Ferguson averaged 4.6 pts and 1.2 rebounds per game in his 15 minutes per game. His stats might not jump out at you, but he now has a leg up on his competition having played with grown men for an entire season getting acclimated to the pro-life before any other player.
The Five-star wing has something that the Chicago Bulls need and that’s athleticism. He has a very quick first step and can drive with a burst down the court. Ferguson might be the most athletic prospect in this entire draft. He also can be a great defensive matchup that they need. Terrance isn’t afraid to play some defense.
That isn’t the end of it either. He can shoot to which is what the Chicago Bulls desperately need. He has already shown the ability to get shots off against professional players overseas. Ferguson has a quick release and a nice stroke.
Terrance Ferguson has been making his way up from being a top 20 in the draft to maybe being a lottery pick. If he makes it to #16 the Chicago Bulls might get a steal with the athletic shooting guard.
