An early look at who the Bulls could pick with the #16 pick Justin Patton C from Creighton
With the number 16th pick, the Chicago Bulls should be looking for a player like Justin Patton who can actually fit into the Fred Hoiberg offense
I plan on ratcheting this up the closer we get to the NBA draft. The Chicago Bulls have a lot of names that could be tied to them with the #16 pick. At this place in the draft, it’s hard to say who you might get, but I think most Bulls fans just want someone that is athletic. Justin Patton could be that guy. Chicago with the thought of getting younger before this season did the exact opposite and got super old and tried to run a fast break offense. It’s tough to say whoever you get with this pick will have an immediate impact on the team next year, but we are all crossing our fingers that this person might be a diamond in the rough.
I would not be opposed to going big with this pick. An athletic big will be a nice piece considering that our center is Robin Lopez. Not a fan to say the least. If the Bulls are looking for maybe some long term goal setting, then Justin Patton should be their guy.
Patton is 6’11” and 229 pounds. He also supports a 7’3″ wingspan. He has some offensive skills and post moves with a little bit of a shooting range which is what all bigs need in this NBA. If this young man could get it all together, he could become a good player and actually a fit for the Bulls offense.
