Michigan Wolverines spring game thoughts about the QB and their defensive turnover
The Michigan Wolverines spring game showed promise from Brandon Peters and questionable play from Speight and looking forward to with the defense this season

There is nothing like some college football hype videos. This was from the Michigan twitter account and I can not wait for the season to start. We got a little taste last weekend from the Michigan spring game which was fun to watch but It also showed us what we already know about our favorite team. Our QB is going to be wildly inconsistent again. This is no secret to any of us. I plan on getting fully behind Speight but there really is just no mistaking after going 9/26 with 2 interceptions the position is just sitting there for the taking.
Brandon Peters really comes to mind and should be right in the running for the starting job. He just looks a little more crisp to me. Speight just reminds me of old neck beard himself Kyle Orton and I don’t want to see that for a whole season at Michigan again. Brandon Peters threw a couple of really nice balls and had a 55 yard TD pass to Zach Gentry and actually ran for a TD also.

As for his arm, I think that Peters throws damn accurate far down the field. Here is one of his dimes he dropped. If you have a while to here is the whole game to check out if you missed it.
All I am looking for is a difference maker at the quarterback position. I don’t think if we want success we can have that kind of play from Speight like last years bowl game. Sometimes he just looks lost. Maybe with this spring game, he just hasn’t taken that next step forward that we needed him too. But there is a reason that Jim Harbaugh is sticking with him.
Now as for the rest and what we lost the most amount of people to the NFL, Michigan’s defense. The defensive line looked awesome. They look like they didn’t miss a beat from last season. They were in everyone’s face all day long. Mo Hurst is going to light some people up on the interior. Winovich and Gary were all over the place. This is going to be another ver exciting defensive line to watch this year and with the offense still in need to find themselves it might have to be. The best thing is that we still have one more huge addition to come, Aubrey Solomon. They should control the line of scrimmage in every game this season.
At the Linebacker position, it was all about filling the position that Ben Gedeon left behind. If we take away something from this game is that Devin Bush will fill that role nicely. He looked fantastic with his blitzes and didn’t make many mistakes. Also, we had some good play from Khaleke Hudson, who also is a toss up with the coolest name on the team with Eddie McDoom. He showed some boom when he laid a nice hit on O’Korn

Our last question that we will be facing all year most likely is defensive backfield play. With the loss of such a dynamic player in Peppers, there will be a large hole to fill. I am putting my money on Jordan Glasgow filling it in quite nicely. This guy is a stud and I think will impress everyone as soon as the season starts. I think a combination of Ambry Thomas, Kinnel, and Metellus will fill any need we have at DB.
Only a few more months till the season starts. GO BLUE !!!!
