Mac’s medical corner
Good day, Mac here with your weekend injury report and health tips. I’d say the biggest name on the injury report this week is obviously Jordy Nelson. However, his absence didn’t seem to matter to A-aron last week and the football Giants have a decent defense. He’s a goddamn surgeon out there and as much as I hate to say it he’s the real life version of Alonzo Harris with a football.
I expect Jordy to be out for a little while if his injury was bad enough to say in the hospital for observation. Ever had bruised ribs? Let alone broken ribs. It hurts. It hurts to laugh, it hurts to talk, it hurts to breath. The DBs know this and the first time he gets trotted out there he’s getting jammed at the line with a shot to the ribs. Good luck with that.
This weekend much of the nation is covered in snow and with warming temps during the day and freezing temps at night there could be some nice layers of ice out there. Remember to wear boots with good traction on them, keep a nice shoulder width base, and keep your feet underneath you. To avoid shoulder/elbow/wrist injuries don’t reach out your arm as you fall, instead try to roll to your back if possible. I know that’s a lot to think about as you see your life flash before your eyes in those brief seconds you’re falling but it’s better than tearing that labrum in your shoulder and being down a wing for 3-4 months.
Wash your hands ya filthy animals,
