For the love of everything that is holy Bill Simmons please just go back to writing colums
Bill just won’t seem to go away. Having just gotten his terrible show canceled off HBO after only being on for what seemed like a month, he is starting another venture. Getting back into making sports documentaries the only thing he was ever really good at doing. Little known to most he was responsible for coming up with the 30 for 30 franchise on the ESPN. Well he is back in the news saying that he is getting green lit for another documentary teaming up with WWE on the infamous Andre the Giant.
“Going back to 2007 and 2008 when I was creating and developing 30 for 30 for ESPN, Andre’s story rode the top of every single sports documentary wish list I ever made,” Simmons said. “We always hear about unicorns these days – Andre was the ultimate unicorn.”
“He’s a true legend,” Simmons said. “Everyone who ever crossed paths with him has an Andre story – and usually four or five.”
This absolutely is a big cry for help right? If I was going to try to make some money if I was this guy, I think I would have done this too. No one wants him because he just has the personality of a dead person so why not make a documentary about someone that everyone loves. I think that if you would have named anyone else on this I would have been happy. And really it’s not like their hasn’t been any great ones already make about the Giant
