Life is tough But not using fake money to buy a lighter tough Treshon Broughton
I think that there are just certain things that will def hurt your draft status. Smoking weed on camera, beating a woman up finally made the list too but using fake money to buy a lighter is right up there with bad decisions. It could have been the worst time for Treshon Broughton with only three weeks away from the draft. I’m not sure If he would have cracked the top three or four rounds but he would have at least been on a couple team’s boards. Now I just want to sit this kid down and ask him if it was a bet or not. If it wasn’t then I’d pin it on being a dumb 22-year-old kid. This will further my argument that anyone under let’s just say 28 should never be able to make their own decision. I know it’s harsh but we would be better as a society if young kids were told what to do. Obviously, there are outliers but for the most part, kids are really dumb. I’m almost 35 and still don’t know what the hell I’m doing so what does a 22 year-old-kid know.
The incident, of course, happened at around 2 a.m. at Bob’s Corner Market. Treshon Broughton used an obviously fake $20 to try to buy a lighter and then the cops were called. When they got there he was arguing with an employee then it got a little more heated with the cops doing what they do to young black guys and that’s tase the shit out of him. Here is what the cop said,
“Officer Gordon attempted to place Broughton into a lateral vascular neck restraint and Broughton was able to get out of his hold,” Emerson wrote. “We took Broughton to the ground and he remained on his knees, pushing up with his arms. For the record, Broughton was a member of the 2016 WSU football team and from my training and experience appeared exceptionally strong.”
The cop said he was drunk so at that point, he could have done anything to him. I feel bad for this kid because we have all been there just didn’t try to use monopoly money to pay for stuff.
This is where it got crazy. When brought to the cell he flooded it. Yes, I repeat the young kid was so drunk and crazy at that point that he used all the toilet paper to flood his cell. So good luck getting drafted now, Treshon Broughton. Now it’s nothing but the hard way for you
