LaVar Ball just won’t go away, going after Charles Barkley today
When you think that a guy will just go away, LaVar Ball will just keep coming back. On the Mike and Mike today Charles Barkley was asked about the recent behavior of LaVar. He was asking if he was becoming a distraction.
“Once I found out he averaged two points a game [in college]. … Listen, you need to slow your roll,” Barkley said of Ball. “He says I didn’t win a championship. I said to myself, ‘I need to go back and Google this guy, because maybe I missed the Ball era, when he was dominating and winning championships everywhere else.’ Listen, I’m too old and fat to play basketball, but I’ll challenge Mr. Ball to a one-on-one. How about that?
“I don’t even know how old he is — he’s got to be around my age — but no guy who averaged two points a game can beat me at one-on-one. I’m positive of that.”

Heating up on the ESPN
It’s hard to argue against Barkley. LaVar Ball is hyping his boys up so much he is forgetting that he actually wasn’t any good. It’s hard to be credible saying you can beat NBA legends when you wouldn’t have even started at Chino Hills where his son plays. Ball played his college days first at Washington State before moving on to Cal State Los Angeles. The joke of the week is that he only averaged 2 points in his whole college career.
Why is this guy on tv
For some reason I’m guessing ratings, SportsCenter actually had LaVar Ball on later today. When told about Barkley’s Challenge Ball laughed.
“He wants to play one-and-one and all this, and he says I averaged two points, ‘Who cares?'” Ball said. “… I know he don’t want to play one-on-one because he’s too big. He better stay behind that TNT thing … and eat them doughnuts.”
If his kids are going to be NBA players, I’m not sure what it’s going to take to get rid of this guy, but please someone figure it out.
