Major Shoe companies want no part of the Big Baller Brand co-branding deal
LaVar Ball once again is dragging his kids down wanting to co-sponsor his Big Baller Brand with major shoe companies and they aren’t having it
The top three shoe and apparel companies say they will not be pursuing an endorsement deal with former UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball.
Nike, Under Armour and Adidas each said they won’t be signing the future NBA lottery pick.
“We’ve said from the beginning, we aren’t looking for an endorsement deal,” LaVar Ball told ESPN. “We’re looking for co-branding, a true partner. But they’re not ready for that because they’re not used to that model. But hey, the taxi
industry wasn’t ready for Uber, either.”
I really needed more LaVar Ball in my life right now. I feel like it’s been a while since he has chimed in and It’s about time. LaVar Ball needs to be in the news like we need air to breath. The Big Baller Brand could really use a new name, to say the least. The name ranks right up there with And One so, of course, Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour were going to run away from this. Big Baller Brand just cannot be on t-shirts and shoes. You aren’t going to sell that on your kid who only scored 14 pts a game in college.
How about we go for a name change? Ball is Life might work or maybe Ball Brothers if you want to get stupid with it. I’m just spitballing here.
Really what is going on here is, of course, LaVar Ball is going to overvalue his sons. He’s still looking for the billion dollar payday from a company to sponsor his kids. When two of them aren’t in college yet and the one that was in college got bounced in the sweet 16. No doubt Lonzo will be a lottery pick but if he was smart he would run away from his dad so he could actually make money in the NBA.
