Kicking a man while he is down, NBA gives Joakim Noah 20 game suspention
Joakim Noah hasn’t played in an NBA game since Feb. 4. He had arthroscopic surgery to repair his left knee removing fragments of cartilage or bone. Joakim is now being served up with a 20 game suspension for violating the league’s anti-drug policy. If he cannot serve the suspension this year it will carry into the next season. With the surgery, of course, he will have to serve it next season. The Knicks are going to evaluate Noah in the next week to determine if there might be a chance he could return this year.
Season is all but done for him
With only nine games left in the season, there really is no chance for him to return. The Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek in San Antonio told reporters that he still hasn’t started on court work. If I had to guess because he had surgery Feb. 27 his knee just came down from being swollen up like a grapefruit. The Knicks don’t come off as a very smart organization but if they were they would just stick him on the end of the bench for the last nine games. Then at least he would have to serve only 11 games in the next season. Since this season is just a waste anyway what is the real difference having Marshall Plumlee on the end of your bench. I’d put Noah there and cut off nine games.
Noah tested positive for not what you would think
I thought going into this it was def. weed. You would be wrong it was something different altogether. The 32-year-old Noah tested positive for an over the counter supplement. It is an androgen receptor modulator LGD – 4033. Your guess is as good as mine but I’d guess it’s dick pills. They can create anabolic activity in muscles and bones. They also can provide muscle building benefits. The NBAPA is actually chalking it up to a mistake like when Jim Miller got busted. They said it was an unintentional ingestion which led to a positive test.
