Very deserving Jim Ross gets a two year deal with WWE
There are definitely people out there that don’t like this move but I am not one of them. I don’t really think that Michael Cole and Jim are a really good team. Ultimately both just try to talk over each other. Call it ring rust maybe but was still a nice changeup yesterday seeing him walk down the aisle to call the Undertakers most likely last match in WWE. After the tragic death of his wife at only 55 years old only weeks ago, I was surprised when I heard Jim was going to call this match.
The two-year deal for Jim Ross will include his continued sporadic appearances doing various things.
“They’ve got a lot of things that I can contribute (to), and I’ve been so blessed in the business that I’ve done so many different things,” Ross told Sam Gardner of Fox Sports. “I’ve been an administrator and a syndicator, a marketing rep, a VP of broadcasting, a head of talent relations. But the fun part is what I did tonight.
Ross turning 65 hasn’t had a big role in the company since 2013 when a panel when bad and it led to his retirement. Here are my favorite calls by JR.
