Jim Harbaugh calling out the horrible 49ers ownership
Harbaugh went on Mercury News’ Tim Kawakami’s podcast Thursday and the question came up about the front office of the 49ers: “I think we did set a record for coaching there the longest under the present ownership. I take pride in that. Maybe there should be an endurance medal, a courage medal, for that.”
That is a shot straight across the bow of Jed York the boss of the 9ers. I love hearing this. I don’t know what it is but I like it when San Fran is good. Not particularly a fan but that division stinks so bad now I think it’s better for the NFL if that team is good. They have been so unbelievably bad since he left I can’t believe the GM Trent Baalke did get fired immediately.
In the first four years of his NFL coaching career he went 44-19-1 (god damn tie). He made a super bowl and 3 NFC championship games in that span, not too bad. Since he got let go by 7-25 and maybe hiring the worst football guy ever Jim Tomsula.
Jim went on to say about the new GM John Lynch:
“I would love to work for John Lynch,” Harbaugh said. “When they were going through the process of the hiring, he didn’t want his name mentioned. I don’t know if a lot of people noticed that, but I think that’s a profound thing. That speaks volumes for who he is as a person.”
I’ll just say I am so happy that Jim got fired and now Michigan has the coach we so desperately needed after a few disasters.
