Islanders Getting Kicked out of Brooklyn
The Islanders getting punched in the nose since the early 90’s. Their best player ever was named Mike Bossy, awesome hockey name. Well news came out today that they are most likely getting kicked out of their arena. The Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov who owns the Barkley center says that they will no longer turn a profit after 18-19. They are most likely going to just put on concerts and events at the arena because they make more money then the 3rd lowest attendance team in the NHL. It’s costing them too much money to put on the hockey games or they are only breaking even on the deal being only an average of like $80 a ticket on the secondary market.
Let me be the first to ask the question. Have you ever met a die hard Islander Fan? I have been thinking for the last 20 minutes and I can’t think of one. Just not a good Move being in the same city as the Rangers. No real decisions have been made yet with what they Islanders will do being only just broke but there could be maybe 2 new hockey teams going to Las Vegas.
