In a good old fashioned slobber knocker Cubs take the Angels 13-10
Folks we have a Jason Heyward sighting. He finally broke his 0-forever streak with a couple of hits. He also got three RBI’s and got two runs himself. Let us all say good job and hopefully that drives out all the yips.

Now I don’t think I have to tell you how unbelievable the Cubs would be if he got back into form. Well some kind of form. At least look like an MLB player would be nice.
The other Bright spot in the game was Munenori Kawasaki.
The 35 yr old was on fire yesterday driving in three runs. He got a base clearing double and another run with a bases loaded walk. He will be in a next man up roll this year. Munerori won’t make the major league roster but in case someone gets injured he will be right there.
Continuing with the Cubs seven run fourth inning more RBI’s were driven in by Ben Zobrist and also a single by Carlos Corporan. All in all the Cubs had 14 hits with 8 walks in the afternoon game.
Pitching wise Jake Arrieta had a rocky start that he salvaged in the 2nd before his day was done. First two batters that he faced got some singles, then after he popped up Jake struck out Danny Espinosa and Corporan threw out Yunel Escobar while he was trying to steel third.
In the next frame he allowed a homer by Jefry Marte and two singles. It was Arrieta’s first start of the year. He got some work in and his day was done.
We have a fun match up on Tuesday playing team Italy.
