Duke basketball poised to make a run
Duke is coming off a devastating loss to Louisville a week ago but that’s given them the time off to right the ship and get some much needed R&R. The most important person taking advantage of that recovery time is Coach K. No coach has done more with less over the course of their career and had the same level of success. When he announced his crippling back injury last month people were ready to write The Blue Devils off. Not so fast my friends, this year Coach K has got an ace up his sleeve with player of the year candidate Grayson Allen.
I mean look at this son of a bitch, he’s got a hundred pound dumbbell in each hand! The kid is an animal. There’s not a grittier, hard nosed player in America. As far as him being a ‘dirty player’, where I come from that’s just called giving all you got to win the game. He hates to lose and if you can’t pick your feet up when trying to dribble past him then that’s on you when you trip. Going into the buzz-saw of the ACC schedule there’s no team or player more ready to take on that grind. Once Coach K makes a full recovery look for a different team to hit the court.
Right now Duke sits behind UNC and Virginia at +425 to win the ACC tournament but leads the odds at 7-2 to win the NCAA tournament.
