In curling news, the only time I’ll ever say that, Vernon Davis honorary US captain
In one of the biggest surprises of the day yet for me. Vernon Davis yes the amazing tight end, is a curler and not just any curler the US honorary captain. He has been since 2010.
I spent a good almost year in Toronto so I am actually pretty fluent in curling. With 8 guys sitting in a Montana’s we sat and watched curling for about 5 hours because there was nothing else to do. It’s Canada so I consider myself an expert on the game. It’s a weird game that I think the only real exceptable way to play is with a beer in your hand and drunk friends with you. When I was there it was actually the world championships. There was some buzz around Toronto during it but impossible to get tickets for it.
This video makes me laugh a little bit. I don’t think that it’s an african american problem not playing curling but who the hell plays curling. I have never met 1 American curler or have seen a place to play the what should be backyard game. Think about it. Curling is an olympic sport. I think like every man on earth there is only one real reason to watch.
