Some crazy rule changes in the MLB
A little bit out of nowhere we have some MLB news. They have been actually talking about a couple rule changes for some of years now. Neither rule change can be implemented with out approval from Major League Baseball Players Association so right now the union is gauging interest from the players before giving the go ahead. So what are the rule changes you might ask?
They will change the strike zone from below the knee to just right above the knee. Now you might be telling yourselves that isn’t a big change there. Here is where the strike zone would be before and after the change.
It will be a pretty big change to where the hitters eyes will be looking. This rule is mostly getting changed because Umpires are calling too many strikes that are down in the dirt. The Umps eyes will start looking hire with this move so they stop calling bullshit strikes. This one is directly made after all this talk about pace of play. They are creaming all over how slow they game is for some reason. I admit there are times when baseball is slow, either from a pitcher or batter taking their sweet ass time getting ready or the replays that are being done now. But I’m thinking this will have two outcomes A. there are going to be way more walks until pitchers figure it out 2. low fastballs are now going to be in some hitters wheelhouse causing more home runs. That is their end game with this one. They want more hits and more runs.
The second rule will absolutely change the game. Pitchers will no longer be required to actually do the four pitches when intentionally walking a batter. I’m sure it doesn’t happen often but it is totally taking away the chance of a wild pitch on a pitchout.
There is actually way to many of these on YouTube or something like this could happen and change the game.
Real things can happen on this play. It looks slow sometimes and mostly its just 4 pitches of nothing. But it only takes that one time of the pitcher screwing up to make it worth keeping. More of the same of them wanting to make the game faster. Well guys you want to get serious start taking away some of TV timeouts instead of maybe ruining the chance of a very exciting play.
