Chicago Bears need to lock in Jamal Adams right now
At the LSU pro day yesterday, Jamal Adams showed why the Chicago Bears need to jump on this guy. I really had a debate with myself on who I ultimately wanted them to get either Adams or Malik Hooker but that argument has now ended. I know it’s off a hand-timed 40 which is very tough to call true, especially when it’s done by a guy from LSU. One time back in the day I was hand-timed at a 4.6 and let me tell you, my friends, I never ran a 4.6. I at best was a 5 flat guy but none the less you get what I’m saying. At the combine, Jamal Adams put up a 4.56 which is fast but not the best showing for a man that needs to be able to cover the whole field.
@DickersonESPN Adams just ran a 4.33 40….is he a lock at 3 for the Bears?

Jamal Adams brings the house
Now, of course, the Bears can’t show their cards yet with the third pick overall. You need to not make it so the other teams are guessing. I never really understand why but it’s just what you do. There are many analysts out there that think that the Chicago Bears should just trade right out of the third pick. I’m assuming maybe to stack picks but I don’t really see an extra second and third round pick doing much out of this draft. I guess they would get a crack at more defensive guys but we don’t need special teams guys. You are never going to be guaranteed a Jordan Howard deep in the draft.
He’s the guy we always have needed
You have a Safety in Jamal Adams that could finally be the guy we have all longed for playing center field. The Bears have gone thru enough Chris Contes and deserve a guy like Jamal. There have been way too many years of Major Wrights. You get a third round safety and just hope to get lucky and it hasn’t worked out since early 2000. Adams bring the big stick to the game. He is a hard hitting safety that doesn’t whiff tackles and doesn’t shy away like Hooker who really has only played one year at a high level. Now that Jamal Adams has thrown up a 4.33 you have to get him. We can’t miss with him at this spot. With our horrible safeties and corners, it’s a pick that for me is a no brainer.
