A look at the Chicago Bears new free agent signing LB Dan Skuta
The Chicago Bears add some depth to their interior LB position as they bring in free agent Dan Skuta to a one-year deal
The Chicago Bears sign LB Dan Skuta on Monday to a one-year contract. This signing might be an indication that starter Danny Trevathan may not be ready for the start of the season. Trevathan is still recovering from a torn patellar tendon with no timetable for his return. Skuta is an experienced linebacker option for the Bears as he played for Vic Fangio in the 2013-14 season.
Dan Skuta, 31, started 10 of the 26 games he played for the Jaguars and got 58 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Before signing with the Jaguars, he spent four seasons with Cincinnati and two with San Francisco.
Skuta looks to just be an in the case of blank please break glass.
