Business is about to pick up for the Bears
There are just rumors flying around about who the Bears are going to pick up in free agency on March 9th. I will not object to anything right now considering the team is going to suck next year anyway. For the Bears to actually have a chance to win a Super Bowl they have to stink this year. This is the only way we will get rid of John Fox. There are plenty of good coaches out there that can fit nicely with the Bears but Fox is not the one. He shows no signs of how to win in the NFL team without a HOF QB or one of the best defenses in the league. At the very least I cannot stand to listen to his press conferences anymore. This guy acts like no one in the room knows anything about football. He is def one of those you never played the game type of guys. What I’m actually worried about this year is that getting healthy alone will win them at least 7 games and shoot them right out of the way of a better draft pick.
Now I’m not happy about it but I’ve been saying for a while now the Bears are going to pick up Mike Glennon for way too much money. All the rumors in the world are swirling around that it’s going to happen for about $14 million a year. Every NFL reporter is claiming this is happening and Glennon actually wants to come to Chicago. Mike wants to start again badly. Let’s just hope that his time in the NFL has made him better at playing quarterback because his first round of starting he was terrible. This guy is Cutler #2 which is ok with what we are trying to achieve which is better draft picks.
The Bears might have major wide receiver questions coming up really soon. If we let Alshon walk, which I’m fine with, who are we going to get to take over. Corderelle Patterson reportedly is on the top of our WR radar now. This guy is only 25, has 2 pro bowls and is the answer to our return game. I’ve seen this guy enough to want to steal him from the Vikings.
Totally don’t get the wrong Idea here too these are just stop gap moves. Glennon looks like a smart guy and could help with the teaching aspect he will have to do with our future QB. Right after he signed on the dotted line I would make sure to tell him that. There aren’t too many more moves the Bears need to make I laid everything I want the Bears to do Here. Let’s hope they hear me because this is just the first step in being an actual NFL team again.
