Bulls Basketball Hell
Let me just talk about what I call basketball hell. Basketball Hell is when you have superstars on your team that use a lot of cap space. The other factors of being in basketball hell is that these “superstars” don’t really make up a complete team. These teams usually win big games during the regular season like:
They Also have some guys that you are really excited about when they are drafted because it actually fills a need. That person has some stat lines in games that you get really excited about.
But He is also wildly inconsistent for what you need. Besides these three games of late he is only averaging 5.5 pts a game. The bulls as of right now are 21-22 and clinging to the 8th seed in the playoffs right now. To me there are only 3 teams in the NBA, Cavs, Golden State, and the Spurs. Being in NBA basketball hell means that in absolutely no way you are winning against these teams in a 7 game series. I don’t know about you but I grew up in the Jordan era of the NBA and it must be nostalgia being a fan of them but now I have empathy now for the rest of the NBA at the time. In case you didn’t grow up in the 90’s here is what real basketball looks like.
The NBA was not this
According to the NBA.com, there are 7 top 50 players that played with Jordan in the same time frame. Only one of them got to win an NBA title, Hakeem Olajuwon because Jordan decided to spread his wings in Baseball after his father died. But besides those couple of years, the bulls kept winning in a complete NBA where there was actually some parity. I now know how it felt to grow up a Knicks fan.
