Ariana Grande Confirmed As Coachella Headliner As 2019 Line-Up Revealed

The Imagine songstress will be the fourth female artist to headline the festival since it launched in 2019. And for the first time, YouTube will present live content over both weekends of the music fest.

The Coachella announcement is a monumental one for the 25-year-old singer.

Ari will be the final performer for 2019's event, which takes place for two weekends in Indio, California from April 12 to April 21.

Kanye West was rumoured to be headlining the show but apparently oulled out over disagreements about his stage set-up. Childish Gambino will headline both Friday nights of the festival, and Tame Impala will headline both Saturday nights.

Throughout the weekend, there'll also be appearances by Janelle Monae, Weezer, Pusha T, BadBadNotGood, Four Tet, J Balvin, Christine & The Queens, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Wiz Khalifa, Mac DeMarco and Charlotte Gainsbourg. However, TMZ.com reported on Wednesday that he scrapped negotiations with production officials at Goldenvoice after failing to reach an agreement over his stage set-up. Pitchfork has reached out to Kanye's representatives for comment.

Ariana Grande seems to be everywhere lately. Grande released her last LP Sweetener in August. And it makes sense: Her most recent album, Sweetener, reached No. 1, and she's got another album titled Thank U, Next ready to go at seemingly any moment.
