Guardiola warned by FA after touchline rant

Trent Alexander-Arnold feels Liverpool can take inspiration from Manchester City after the champions ended the Reds' unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

The Dutchman believes Manchester City possess better players - but insists that Klopp is giving Pep Guardiola a masterclass in coaching.

"Fernandinho's specific qualities, we do not have a replacement for him - his kind of duels, the way he is going backwards", said the City manager. "Liverpool just need to relax, get some wins under their belt, maybe improve that lead if they can over the next month to six weeks". "It is not luck and using momentum. It's a real tough situation".

"We want to win everything but you can not win it in the first game". It's now a little bit more interesting.

As such, he can hope for a debut on Monday night when Liverpool face Wolves in the FA Cup.

Simon Mignolet and Alberto Moreno are confirmed starters, while teenagers Rafael Camacho and Curtis Jones could make their senior debuts.

"He [Mignolet] will play, of course", the boss said. "We are a better team when we play with emotions".

So it has proved by early January, a game in hand and a head-to-head victory having brought City right back into the picture.

"That's how he is, he's a fantastic professional, and did brilliantly so far".
