Jurgen Klopp delighted as Liverpool stretch unbeaten run to 16 games

Mo Salah scored a stunning hat-trick as Liverpool beat Bournemouth 4-0 away from him but the Egyptian didn't seem too happy when he found the net.

Klopp confirmed Mane is now back running again but does not expect to have the player available for the Premier League fixture this weekend.

In the first of two late games on Saturday, champions Manchester City take on Chelsea in the blockbuster clash of the round at 9.30pm, before Leicester City host Spurs at 11.45pm.

- Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has lost more games in all competitions against Liverpool than against any other side (8). Bournemouth only had two shots on target and, without their main source of goals, looked impotent against a fine Liverpool defence.

"Even if they lost a few games, we saw the games and it was always really hard work for the opponent". Six weeks for us is massive, I can't even count the games we have in that period. It was not the most impressive finish but I would say it was pretty surprising [for the goalkeeper].

"But as I said before, the most important thing is we are top of the table".

Liverpool had demonstrated resilience to win on Wednesday against a physical Burnley side whose approach drew an angry reaction from Klopp.

In his post-match interview Salah, standing alongside teammate James Milner, was handed the Man of the Match award following his scintillating individual display at the Vitality Stadium.

While Andrew Robertson will return after being rested in midweek, Klopp revealed Dejan Lovren remains sidelined as the centre-back has yet to fully recover from a head knock sustained in training prior to the Merseyside derby.

"Top of the table and [to] score three goals, fantastic win today and a clean sheet", Salah said.

Liverpool FC will be hoping that Manchester City drop points against Chelsea FC on Saturday as the title race begins to hot up. He can win you a game on his own.

And victory capped off a day to remember for James Milner, who made his 500th Premier League appearance.

Although his first goal was fortuitous given he was just offside, his second and third were simply reminders of his brilliance.

How many goals do you think Salah will score this season? Nobody knows what that means, this league is so hard to play.

"We need to focus on our own results".
