Cavs announce JR Smith will no longer be around the team

Kevin Love said of J.R. Smith. "I don't like the statement of getting bought out".

Smith averaged 12.6 points a game in his first 14 National Basketball Association campaigns, which included stints at New Orleans and Denver before a 2011-12 season with China's Zhejiang Golden Bulls and an National Basketball Association return with the Knicks. James wanted the Lakers to continue their momentum which has seen them win seven of their last nine games, it is a good run of form after a poor start to the campaign.

Osman isn't the only one who has been touched by the greatness of James.

"And then once the tip ball gets going it's time to go to work".

Cleveland went 19-63 - it lost 26 games in a row and 36 out of 37 over one stretch - after losing James in 2010.

With Smith gone, the Cavaliers have just three players - Love, Tristan Thompson and Channing Frye - left from their title team.

Smith had been in and out of the rotation most of the season and wasn't happy with the direction the organization chose to take. "I'll think about some of the good, I'll think about some of the bad, I'll think about some of the great that I had with the franchise". "I always ask him how he's doing, with his life, his health ... and just thank him".

Smith is in his 15th season and making $14.7 million; he has no relationship with Cavs GM Koby Altman and doesn't want a buyout.

The piece goes on to explain that Irving did, in fact, want out of Cleveland, even threatening to undergo knee surgery and miss a healthy chunk of the 2017-18 season if he wasn't dealt. The five-time All-Star signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension this summer. He has averaged 10.3 points in 255 games with Cleveland over the past five seasons.
