MONDAY/TUESDAY: Monday is going to be a wet, nasty day.

The warm spell will be short-lived, as the mercury is due to swing in the opposite direction next week - with the chance of areas across the United Kingdom seeing snowfall and lows of 35F (2C). Highs on Monday will struggle to make it into the lower 50's. Northwest wind 9 to 13 miles per hour. The National Weather Service advises some locations could see 2-4 inches of snow into Monday afternoon, with some localized amounts exceeding 4 inches possible, especially in northwest OK. North wind 6 to 8 miles per hour. A huge area of high pressure across northern Europe, a huge area of low pressure in the mid-Atlantic and the United Kingdom is stuck in between.

Meteorologists say fair weather is expected to settle back across our part of the country Tuesday night through Wednesday night. Rain chances will remain near zero, but portions of western Alabama could see a few showers later in the day on Wednesday.

"This pattern is likely to hold out through the rest of the month and into December with a risk of blizzards in Scotland and the north and widespread snow showers". We will stay mostly cloudy and wind will be from the north at 10-15 miles per hour.

After a busy morning we got a little break from the rain and now we are tracking scattered showers once again.

The forecast calls for not one, but two different coastal storms this week - one developing along the Gulf Coast and tracking northeast along the Middle Atlantic region tonight, and another system to follow Thursday and Friday.
