Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospitalized With Fractured Ribs

At 85, Justice Ginsburg has made no plans to retire from her Supreme Court seat, which, if filled by a conservative, would dramatically alter the court's makeup for decades to come.

If you recall, this is not the first time Ginsburg has broken her ribs.

Ginsburg was married to her husband Martin D. Ginsburg for 56 years until June 27, 2010 when he died from cancer.

According to a Court spokesperson (via CNN's Manu Raju), Ginsburg has fractured three ribs in the fall.

Another supporter was in agreement with Alyssa and wrote: 'I will literally give three ribs to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg if she needs them, along with whichever other body parts she requires until 2020'.

But the real heart problems today are the ones that progressives are having reading about Ginsburg in the hospital. In November 2014, she had a stent placed in her right coronary artery after experiencing discomfort while exorcising at the Supreme Court gym.

She was, however, missing from Thursday's investiture ceremony for new Justice Brett Kavanaugh at the Supreme Court. She has said that she will stay for as long as she is healthy and mentally sharp. President Donald Trump and new acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker were also present.

But everyone on both side of the aisle seems to be wishing her the best and, for the record, I hope she recovers quickly.

Leading this project, she successfully argued six landmark cases before the Supreme Court.

Rib fractures are common among older adults, particularly after falls.

Ginsburg is one of four liberal-leaning judges, including Justices Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
