Fossil's latest Wear OS smartwatch adds longer battery life for $255

Fossil's latest Wear OS smartwatch adds longer battery life for $255

The company says the 350 mAh unit, with the help of Wear 3100, will be able to eke out a day of life based on the "full smartwatch experience", which we assume includes some HR tracking and Global Positioning System. It also has Qualcomms latest Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip that replaces the far-outdated 2100 chip. There's also a new battery saving mode, bringing an additional two days of telling the time in an "ambient mode". The new guy has built-in Global Positioning System functionality in addition to heart rate tracking and NFC support for wrist payments, with the latter two features present on the Versa as well. As typical, there are two sizes to choose from - 41mm and 43mm - both of which come with a nylon and aluminium case. Customization is the name of the game here, as the Fossil Sport is launching in six colors with what Fossil describes as "endless" strap options. On the software side, Fossil has included three watch faces that integrate with Google Fit to help track your fitness, and Fossil has also preloaded apps like Spotify and Noonlight.
