Uhh, Did Ariana Grande Just Slam Pete Davidson Again on Instagram?

And if you've been paying attention for the last five sentences, you'll recall that "thank you, next" were the exact words that Ari used to dismiss/slam Pete and his jokes about their engagement.

During Saturday Night Live - as the song shot up the iTunes charts and effectively blew up Twitter - Davidson addressed the breakup in an appearance on the Weekend Update.

However, referring to the song Pete Davidson, which Ariana, 25, wrote about him and her new track Thank u, next, which she released just minutes before SNL aired, Pete quipped: "I'm still a great song though!"

The midtempo song "Thank U, Next" references past splits and expresses gratitude for what she has learned from the relationships. "Sometimes things just don't work out and that's okay". "She's a wonderful, strong person and I wish her all the happiness in the world".

The opening verse features references to four of her previous boyfriends, including rapper Big Sean, dancer Ricky Alvarez, Pete Davidson, and the late Mac Miller. Even nearly got married and for Pete, I'm so thankful.

But instead of being bitter, she's grateful to her exes for what they taught her. She also tweeted "Thank You, Next" but at the time fans didn't realize she was about to drop a new song. "One taught me love / One taught me patience / And one taught me pain / Now I'm so awesome", she sings. The promo was met with backlash from Grande herself, who tweeted out criticism toward her ex after the promo was released.
