Numbers drawn for $667 million Mega Millions jackpot

The Associated Press is reporting that no winning lottery ticket was sold in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.

Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot is the country's third-largest lottery jackpot ever.

The numbers were 3, 45, 49, 61 and 69 with the Mega Ball of 9.

The last victor for the top Mega Millions prize was on July 24, when a group of California office workers won the $543 million jackpot.

The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday at 11 p.m.

The jackpot is the largest in the game's history, second largest overall.

A Winchester couple, J.R. and Peggy Triplett, won a $239 million dollar Mega Millions jackpot in 2004 and took the cash option of more than $141 million. The Maryland trio went for the cash option of $158 million. The largest jackpot belongs to the 2016 Powerball jackpot of $1.586 billion.

The odds of winning Tuesday night's MegaMillions drawing are one in 302.5 million.

If no jackpot victor emerges from Tuesday night's drawing, the estimated annuity value for Friday, Oct. 19's drawing will increase to $868 million, with an estimated cash value of $495 million.

Lottery tickets are sold at $2 each in kiosks, supermarkets and gas stations in 44 USA states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. The store received $1 million from Mega Millions for making the sale.
