Kanye West meets with President Trump in Oval Office

"There was something about putting this hat on that made me feel like Superman", West said, as part of an extended soliloquy that spanned topics from his mental health to prison reform to what kind of plane Trump should fly in. West's social media pages show him in a red "Make America Great Again" hat, and he has said he wishes to facilitate conversations between the president and opponents like National Football League free agent Colin Kaepernick. "This hat gives me power in a way", the rapper and entertainer said.

"He has to be the freshest, the flyest, have the flyest plane..."

Or, somewhere on the edge of pop psychology and offense-giving state that he has "daddy issues" after he said that Trump represented a "father figure to him".

West also said the President is on a "hero's journey".

The rapper said the president's critics fail to recognize Mr. Trump's "bravery." Mr.

Ahead of a private lunch, Mr Trump and West spoke with reporters as they sat across from each other at the Resolute desk.

West gifted Trump with a Superman cape: When West arrived at the Oval Office, he greeted Trump with a hug before informing those in attendance that he had presented the president with "a Superman cape" to aid him in his crime-fighting efforts.

Kanye later said his 10-minute speech was "from the soul, I just channeled it".

However earlier this week, Mr Trump called on Chicago to adopt the strategy, in which large numbers of people are temporarily detained, questioned and sometimes searched for drugs and weapons. Also attending is former National Football League great Jim Brown, a civil rights leader who has met with Trump previously, and Jared Kushner.
