Fabregas commits future to Chelsea and reveals he wants a new contract

Hazard produced another phenomenal display at the St Mary's Stadium on Sunday as Chelsea humbled a beleaguered Southampton side 3-0, with the pint-sized magician pulling the creative strings and producing another man-of-the-match performance - his fifth in the league this term.

Chelsea have scored 18 goals in 8 games this season, with City (21) and Arsenal (19) the only sides to have more in the goals for column.

Morata was not to be denied, as he rounded off the scoring for the Blues second-half stoppage time, with Hazard picking up the assist.

Sarri's other players - particularly further down the pitch - need to start contributing goals regularly.

The hosts were pinned back for much of the first half, although Manolo Gabbiadini forced Chelsea's £71.6million goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to get his gloves dirty with a curling effort from range.

David Luiz (7): The centre-back was efficient and made some solid passes.

But Giroud needs to end his goal duck quickly if he wants to continue starting and upcoming opponents Southampton may be coming for him at the ideal time.

"I want to keep doing it and keep everyone happy".

MF Ross Barkley, 9 - Trusted with a start by Sarri, the ever-improving Barkley gave Chelsea added goal-threat from midfield.

It appears that Sarri views the Spanish veteran as an alternative to Jorginho in the deep-lying playmaker role - but as such, the former Barcelona star looks set to play second fiddle to the Italian.

FW Oliver Giroud, 8 - Made an excellent foil for Hazard's wizardry. Barkley has thrown his hat into the ring to be Chelsea's Hamsik.

FW Alvaro Morata, 7 - Replaced Giroud in the 68th minute and must have thought his luck was going to be out when he fired a shot at Southampton keeper Alex McCarthy.

FW Pedro, NR - Replaced Willian but didn't bring any fresh ideas to Chelsea's attack.

After making multiple changes for that Europa League clash, Sarri reverted back to the team held by Jurgen Klopp's Reds, albeit replacing Mateo Kovacic with England midfielder Barkley.
