Liverpool still in preseason mode despite unbeaten start Jurgen Klopp

Henderson was handed a new five-year deal at Anfield this week after an impressive summer in which he helped England to the World Cup semi-finals.

That apart, Henderson too was delighted with his signing of a new contract and stated that he would like to finish his career at Liverpool if everything went to plan, having already spent the better part of the last seven years at the club.

"I think that Rabiot, given that his contract expires in 2019, won't renew with PSG because he wants more playing time".

Jurgen Klopp has said Liverpool are still in "preseason" mode despite winning all four games in their Premier League campaign so far.

"He takes nothing for granted and strives to learn and be better for his team at all times." he added.

Gomez was in line to be part of England's World Cup adventure after a man-of-the-match performance against Brazil on his full debut until injury intervened and left him on the sidelines as Gareth Southgate's squad reached the semi-finals in Russian Federation.

"I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young", he said.

Klopp put his players through double training sessions in the build-up to the recent win at Leicester City in an effort to get his side in a better physical condition ahead of the start of the Champions League group stages.

Henderson joined Liverpool in 2011 and has grown into one of the club's most important players.
