Both she and Trump have denied the claims made in the book by Omarosa, who was sacked after a year in the White House's communications department in January.

Manigault Newman also claims Trump said he would soon get rid of DeVos. "Clearly, if you come on board the campaign, like, we can't have, we got to", she continues, before Manigault Newman cuts her off: "Oh, God no".

"And it just didn't seem good enough for this White House", Manigault Newman said, suggesting the president is uninterested having a diverse staff.

"Everything, everybody, positive, right?"

Before wrapping up the interview, Noah asked Manigault-Newman, as someone who has known Trump for 15 years, for her advice on dealing with the president.

During the call, which occurred after Manigault Newman was sacked from the White House last December, Mrs. Trump offered her a $15,000-a-month position as a campaign surrogate. "So, I know you, you were making 179 at the White House". "I saw this as an attempt to buy my silence".

Politico reported that Omarosa, a former contestant on Trump's "Apprentice" reality show, told friends that she had taped a call she received from the Jewish power couple after her firing by Chief of Staff John Kelly late previous year in which they wished her well and denied knowing that she was slated for termination. "I have a whole community of faith that's behind me, praying for me".

Giving up her career in fashion, Ivanka joined Donald Trump's administration, becoming senior advisor to the president of the United States. "We never would have imagined that one of our own was secretly recording all of our private conversations", Lara Trump added.

The job wouldn't require her to report to any particular office or have a specific set of duties, other than to speak positively on Mr Trump's behalf as part of his re-election campaign.
