Belgium worldwide Kevin De Bruyne suffers injury in training

Manchester City's stars showed up in numbers for the premiere of "All Or Nothing", the new Amazon series documenting their 2017/2018 title-winning triumph - with Kevin De Bruyne on crutches after suffering a training ground injury earlier on Wednesday.

The central midfielder helped Pep Guardiola'a side lift the Premier League title and was arguably the standout player last season during a very special year.

The 27-year-old, who enjoyed a superb World Cup as Belgium reached the semi-finals, is undergoing tests to assess the seriousness of the injury.

City Watch, the premier account for Manchester City news, reported the news, before Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur followed up shortly after with further confirmation.

De Bruyne, who managed 12 goals and 21 assists in all competitions last term, missed 12 games after injuring his right knee in January 2016.

But the importance of De Bruyne, easily the club's best player in the record-breaking 2017/18 season, can not be overstated.

The extent of the injury is not yet known but the staff at Man City are reportedly fearing that he could be ruled out of action for more than two months.

However, the reigning league champions may have to find a way without him over the next couple of months and attention may shift onto the likes of David Silva and Ilkay Gundogan to help fill his void.
