Kelvin Benjamin Explains Why He Walked Away From Cam Newton During Confrontation

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin maintained he wasn't concerned with whatever Cam Newton had to say when the Carolina Panthers quarterback confronted him before Thursday's preseason game. Benjamin didn't shake it, and although Panthers linebacker tried to intervene, Newton waved him off and kept the conversation going. "It was a bad fit from the get-go".

The comments that got the attention of Newton and plenty of other people - including Buffalo Coach Sean McDermott - featured this passage: "If you would've put me with any other quarterback, let's be real, you know what I'm saying?" Anybody! Quarterbacks with knowledge, who know how to place a ball and give you a better chance to catch the ball. As well, Andrew Luck will return from last year's season-ending injury in Indianapolis at Seattle (-2) and Deshaun Watson will do the same as his Houston Texans are 2.5-point road underdogs against the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Moving on from it", Benjamin said repeatedly.

Newton approached Benjamin, who appeared uninterested in talking and he walked away a few moments later.
