Abby Huntsman Expected to Join ‘The View’

Mediaite reported that weekend "Fox & Friends" host Abby Huntsman has left Fox News and is eyeing a spot on the long-running ABC talk show.

Fox News reportedly confirmed that this coming weekend would be Huntsman's last hosting "Fox and Friends Weekend" before replacing "View" co-host, Sara Haines.

"Abby has lots of fans at ABC and is expected to end up at The View", a source close to the situation told The Hill.

Huntsman's father, Jon Huntsman Jr., serves as U.S. ambassador to Russian Federation under President Donald Trump.

Her addition to "The View" will likely provide more balance to the predominantly liberal panel that fellow conservative Meghan McCain was often forced to battle on her own. She recently slammed the president after his meeting with Putin last month, in which Trump seemed to side with Russian Federation on US election interference.

Huntsman grew up in Utah and appeared as a political commentator for ABC News in 2012 during the presidential campaign of her father, a Republican leader and former Utah governor who now serves as the U.S. Ambassador to Russian Federation. Huntsman, who is the daughter of Jon Huntsman, the U.S. Ambassador to Russian Federation, would bolster the ranks of young Republicans around "The View's" table, joining Meghan McCain.
